Orthopaedics
The focus of the Department of Orthopaedics is on the correction, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of skeletal abnormalities in patients of various ages, including those involving problems of the joints, bones, ligaments, muscles, tendons, skin, and nerves. The group has extensive experience treating rheumatoid arthritis in elderly patients as well as clubfoot in newborns and young athletes who need arthroscopic surgery. The orthopaedic staff also handles situations including fractures, torn ligaments, dislocations, strains and sprains, tendon injuries, sciatica, strained muscles, low back aches, bursitis, ruptured discs, bow legs, scoliosis, knock knees, hammertoes, bone tumours, cerebral palsy, growth anomalies, muscular dystrophy, and numerous other conditions. By instructing and advising people to engage in physical therapy and exercises, the team's skillful approach also aims at rehabilitation.
